COMPUTER TRAINING
Training is a valuable part of any organisations development and policy. It is highly beneficial to the organisation, as it makes staff feel valued, and gives the opportunity for personal development. Not only does this often result in greater productivity, but it also tends to highlight problem areas in current processes. To get the best out of the training that we provide, we will cusomise it to your requirements. Current training courses include:
- Microsoft Office - Most people use less than 10% of the capabilities of their office software. Significant productivity improvements are posible by using templates, macros, mail-merges and possibly by the addition of Visual Basic for Applications scripts. All this functionality exists, and is rarely used. Training is customised to the needs of the organisation, and will be pre-agreed after examination of processes being used.
- Open Source Software - this is a very interesting area. Once familiar with the software, then productivity can equal and often exceed that of the commercial equivalent. Our normal approach to this is that we provide all individuals being trained with a CD of the software being trained on. They can then install this on their home PCs in order to build up, and develop their skills. Remember that NO LICENCING FEES means that their is money to be spent elsewhere....perhaps on the office Christmas Party?
- Linux, - This takes the open source philosophy to the operating system as well as to the software it runs. Many distributions come complete with more software (including a complete office package), which makes the purchase of further software unnecessary. The training can be customised to the level of those being trained, and we can offer training to everyone from the complete beginner to the experienced user. You can then work towards eliminating your software installation and upgrade fees.
- Other courses - We have a wealth of expertise in many areas. Contact us if you need either 'ad hoc' training, or a specific training or induction package producing
